Pet gastroscopy

Perhaps the most common reason owners bring their pets to a veterinary clinic is vomiting. In many cases, this may be a temporary reaction to food poisoning, but if the animal suffers from frequent vomiting, it could indicate a more serious issue (e.g., a swallowed foreign object) or be a symptom of a disease, especially if:

  • the pet vomits more than once a day;
  • there is blood in the vomit;
  • diarrhea begins;
  • vomiting occurs after movement.

To avoid more serious complications, it is important to seek help as early as possible and determine the cause of the ailment.

At our clinics, gastroscopy is indispensable for diagnosing diseases of the digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, and duodenum). During this procedure, we can carefully examine the area and, if necessary, take a sample for further testing. Gastroscopy brings a high level of precision to a veterinarian’s work, and only by knowing the exact diagnosis can we prescribe effective treatment.
