The Story of Murziaus

In Dr. Evelina’s hands is Murzius, a 2.5-year-old mixed breed. Murzius is very familiar to our entire clinic team, as he was treated for a long time in the clinic’s intensive care unit. Why? Read on.
Our acquaintance with Murzius began before the holidays, when his owners brought him to us outside of working hours with an injured pet (possibly bitten by another dog). During the clinical examination, a suspected bite wound was observed on his neck, but when palpating the neck area, fluid accumulation was felt, and pressing it caused blood to ooze; the animal could not lift its head. It was decided to immediately perform surgical treatment of the wound, during which a seemingly small superficial wound revealed a 25–30 cm wound during surgery. The muscles on the left side of the neck were severely damaged, and some were even torn. The wound and muscle injuries were surgically treated, and Murzius was left for intensive care in the clinic’s intensive care unit.

After three weeks of treatment, wound washing, and cleaning at the clinic, the wound had contracted enough to be taken care of by the owners at home. Murzius went home.
Today, the patient feels great; after almost 6 weeks of treatment, only a 3 cm superficial wound remains, which is being successfully treated at home.
