Rice history – juvenile pyoderma
Today’s story hero is 4-month-old Ryžis. Our friendship began when the little one was only 2 months old and came to our clinic due to a swollen muzzle and eyes covered with blisters. After performing the necessary tests, a skin disease was diagnosed – juvenile muzzle pyoderma. This is a disease that occurs in young puppies, appears suddenly, and is usually due to a weak immune system. Symptoms: swelling in the head area (lips, ears, eyelids, cheek lymph nodes), pimples/blisters form, sores may ooze, can become pus-filled, and later scabs develop. It is a very unpleasant, but completely curable disease.
Ryžiui was given antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatment, the affected areas were washed with chlorhexidine, then the affected areas were softened with ointments, and additionally the immune system was strengthened with vitamins. After a long and consistent treatment lasting more than a month, Ryžiukas is now completely healthy!
