Treatment of ear diseases
Hearing is one of the most important senses; therefore, caring for your pet’s ears and identifying signs of discomfort is vital for their daily well-being.
If your pet frequently shakes its head, scratches its ears, rubs its head against objects, feels pain when touched, or if you notice a foul odor, unusual discharge, or an increased amount and strange color of earwax—these are signs that your pet is suffering from an ear problem (ear parasites, inflammation, otitis, a foreign body, etc.). In such cases, the pet should be brought in for a veterinary examination. If the underlying cause is left untreated, it can lead to impaired hearing or even total deafness.
During the examination, the veterinarians at “Siaurio Šnauceris” clinics perform a thorough check: we use video otoscopy and perform cytological analysis of ear samples to identify the pathogen and its sensitivity to antimicrobial substances. This allows us to select a highly precise and effective treatment. If necessary, the doctor will perform the required cleaning procedures to ensure your pet continues to enjoy perfect hearing—and stays obedient to your commands!
