Winter paw care

With the arrival of cold weather and the first snowfall, we want to share some relevant information with dog owners. Cold, salt-covered roads, and moisture – all these factors can damage paws, causing them to crack or weep. With injured paws, every walk becomes painful and fails to bring the usual joy.

Our recommendations for paw care during winter:

  • Trim the hair between the toes. Snow sticks to the hair, forming hard snowballs that press against the paw, causing discomfort and potentially rubbing the skin raw.
  • Avoid walking on salt-treated roads whenever possible.
  • Wash and dry the paws thoroughly as soon as you return home.
  • Apply a special protective cream or wax to the paws before every walk – this creates a protective barrier that shields the pads from the harmful effects of salt.

Follow these simple rules, and winter fun—without unwanted consequences—is guaranteed!
